Happy New Year to everyone.

My name is Mrs Pritchard.  I have been a teacher at Randwick Park School for 7 years and this year I am teaching in the Year 2 Totara Team.

We are learning about our relationships with others and about our relationship to our culture, our environment and our country.  

Geometry is our Maths topic for Term 1 and we are learning to identify shapes by their attributes.

I want to go to India in the holidays . I want to go with my family . I want to see the hotel . I will see stachuse  . Then I want to eat some rice .  Next I want to swim in the water with my family . I feel nervaus because I havent done it before .

I  want to go with my swimming team .first I am going on a plane too india for the commonwealth games with heaps of cool staff. then I want to make a nice swimming team for us too have a lovely race to swim. at last we had a race with a difrent Indian team and I won. I felt happy because I had a gold trophy             and I won.

and I will get 20 chances to do it.I feel happy because that is the first time I did it.

Samoa

In the summer we want to go to the sea in Samoa. First I will see the warm sea. Then the coconut tree was yummy and a turtle was so heavy I can't lift it over my head. I was happy because it was fun.

In summer I want to go to Samoa in the holidays and I will go with my family.

First I want to see the blow holes the blow hole it is a bit like a water volcano. The blow holes blow water out of the holes. Then I will make friends over there and play with them and help them. After I will drink coconut with the straw. I feel happy because it s a lovely place.

I went to the black pool, it's like a beach and when it was summer I was with my family. I can smell salty  water I hear waves and talking and we see people that grow.  It is fun and exciting.

I can smell the salty water and yummy food. And I can hear people screaming on the big roller coster and i can hear big birds and small birds . I can  see people and birds and big trees and houses . When i touch the big  tree it feels hard and when I touch the big houses it feels hard and when my feet is touching the long ground it feels very hard .

In spring I want to go to BackPool with my family.

I could smell delicious food and salty blue water by the sea shore. I could hear screaming, shouting and people talking. In the brown sand I could see some big brown people relaxing on the red picknick blanket some people talking and some people swimming in the deep blue water. I feel very excited when I go on the twirly roller coaster.

Week 5 Writing!!!

This week we have been looking at places in England. We learnt about London and all the wonderful things you can do here. We also learnt about Blackpool a sunny sea side in England.

Goals: The children had to tell me when, where and who they would go with. Then they had to tell me about what they would smell, hear, see and feel about being in this special place. They were concentrating on adjectives, capital letters and full stops.

Didn't we do well!!!

ICT - Kidspiration Shark

We are learning about animals and during ICT we have been using Kidspiration to display our knowledge of animals.

Today we looked at a shark we talked about what it eats, where it lives and body parts. We then put our ideas down on Kidspiration.

The children have been learning how to plan their stories and write these plans into a fun, exciting story to read. Some groups were looking at adding adjectives, some groups were looking at sequencing their stories and some groups were looking at their punctuation. The Sky Tower

Monday 15th March 2010

Last Wednesday we went to the sky Tower and Mission Bay with room 8 and room 16. Before at the sky tower we watched a movie and went to the top in the scary elivator and we had morning tea up at the top then we came back down. We went to have lunch and played on the park. We had so much fun at the sky tower.

Going on a trampoline.

On  Sunday   I  went   to  my neighbours   to  go  on  the  trampoline I  bounced  so  high  in  the  air.  I  went   with  my  little  brother  he   nearly  bumped    his  head  on  the  pole  I   fell   on  the  side and   I  laughed   it    was   funny. I   was   so  scared   because   I   nearly    broke  my  arm.

Th Crab Snappers

On sunny and cold sunday. I  went to a sunny, cold beach. I found a pretty shell it was pretty. The colours were pink, red and bluey kind. I've never seen one like that before it was the cooliest day ever because I saw a crab. It was a massive crab. The bit my brother and he cried. We went home but we dropped the shell with the crab in it. I was so scared. I screamed so loud that we went home faster. I had fun.

Happy Butterfly Creek

On exciting sunday we went to butterfly creek we saw crocodiles and baby alligators. We patted the baby alligators then I went into the butterfly house. A butterfly went on my nose then head. The butterfly's colour was black and red. He bit me and it tickled.
